“For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; Likewise to the small rain, And to the great rain of his strength…Dost thou know the balancings of the clouds, The wondrous works of him which is perfect in knowledge?” Job 37:6,16
When we consider the wondrous works of God, we understand that He ultimately is Sovereign over all of His creation and Providential in His workings - including the weather. Matthew 8:27 declares, “…even the winds and seas obey him.”
We read in Amos 4:7, “And also I have withholden the rain from you, when there were yet three months to the harvest: and I caused it to rain upon one city, and caused it not to rain upon another city: one piece was rained upon, and the piece whereupon it rained not withered.” Our church family took this verse to God in prayer several years ago to ask Him to send rain and break an extended drought in our area. After no rain for months, the day after we prayed, God sent the rain for three days straight!
Those who know me know that I LOVE SNOW! On Sunday morning March 31, 2019, I prayed, “Lord, would you please let it snow here in Monroe before we get totally out of the winter and into the spring?” Early that following Tuesday morning while I was traveling to Raleigh, my children called and said, “Dad, it’s snowing!”
Note the radar graphic below that was posted as the weatherman said, “The most unusual thing happened in Monroe today. Just a small band of snow went over that area.” I will always believe that God answered my prayer.

Remember, if God can command the clouds in the sky, He can control the clouds in your heart. Storms pass. Clouds scatter. The Son shines again. Let’s make the most of these days as we trust the Master of the Wind.
You are loved and prayed for.
Sincerely,
