Nothing Without Him

Nothing Without Him
“I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.”
– John 15:5
It is a blessed day of victory in our lives
when we realize our absolute dependence upon the Lord Jesus Christ. As we walk in fellowship with Him through prayer and Bible study, we enjoy His presence and peace, as well as, His production of fruit through our lives.
The very first step of barrenness is when we neglect our prayer life. “Beware the barrenness of busyness”, Mary Baker Ruth wrote to me several years ago.
During these years of serving the Lord, my perspectives have changed:
I used to think that I could do everything.
Then, I wondered if I could do anything.
Now, I know that I can do nothing – without Him.
